Overview
Established in 2022, The Buff Club Flatirons Society (BCFS) is the exclusive leadership giving program of the University of Colorado Athletic Department. Through annual leadership-level investment, members of this society provide substantial financial support essential to a world-class and holistic student-athlete experience for our 350+ student-athletes.

Invitation to the Flatirons Society is reserved for those who make annual leadership gifts of $10,000 or more inclusive of per-seat contributions, scholarships, excellence fund giving, endowments, and capital projects. Additional benefits will be reserved exclusively for those who commit to multi-year philanthropic pledges. All philanthropic commitments are tax deductible and are above and beyond any per-seat contribution. 

In appreciation of their annual investment, BCFS members are recognized as Red-Brick, Iron, Limestone, or Sandstone level members and receive benefits exclusive to their level. These benefits include VIP experiences with fellow BCFS members, unique event invitations, away game travel opportunities, additional priority point bonuses, naming recognition, and much more.

Ways to Invest
Invitation to the Flatirons Society is reserved for those who make annual leadership gifts of $10,000 or more inclusive of per-seat contributions, scholarships, excellence fund giving, endowments, and capital projects. Additional benefits will be reserved exclusively for those who commit to multi-year philanthropic pledges. All philanthropic commitments are tax deductible and are above and beyond any per-seat contribution. 
 
A leadership commitment to Colorado Athletics can be made as a single, one-time donation, or it can be paid on through a multi-year pledge over two to five years. For example, you can commit $50,000 over 5 years to become a Buff Club Flatiron Society Red Brick member. These type of commitments support funds such as:
  • Athletic Director's Discretionary Fund
  • Sport Specefic Excellence Funds
  • Crawford Family WHOLE Student-Athlete Program
  • The Ralphie Program
  • Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Fund
  • Student-Athlete Excellence Fund
  • Golden Buffalo Scholarship Fund
An endowment is one of the most powerful ways to support Colorado Athletics as they provide long term, sustainable funding for scholarships, student-athlete programs, coaching positions, and our beloved Ralphie Program. All endowments are invested within the overall university endowment managed by the University of Colorado Foundation. Each year a percentage of the invested gift's annual return is released to Colorado Athletics for spending, while the remainder, is reinvested to build on the principal.

Endowment donors will receive a stewardship report annually detailing the performance of their fund and those who create an endowed scholarship at $100,000+ will become members of the Scholarship Donor Program. Endowment donors have the opportunity to name the fund in honor or memory of an individual or family. Current endowment opportunities include but are not limited to:
  • Coaching Endowments for Head and Assistant Coaches
  • Ralphie Program Endowment
  • Athletic Director Endowment
  • Scholarship Endowments
  • Programmatic Endowments:
    • Psychological Health and Performance Program
    • Women with Altitude Program

Capital gifts are investments in the enhancement, construction, and maintenance of world-class facilities for our student-athletes. These multi-year philanthropic pledges are above and beyond any per-seat Buff Club donation. All philanthropic commitments are tax deductible and do not count toward your per-seat contribution.
