CU Buff Club, Colorado Athletics

Mattie Schimenz joined the Buff Club as a Development Assistant in 2026. Originally from Wisconsin, she came to Colorado after spending a year in Ohio as a National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) intern.

Mattie was a five-year letter winner and captain for the women's basketball team at NCAA Division II Winona State University from 2020-2025. She earned her master’s degree in Leadership Education with an emphasis in Sport Management in 2025 while gaining experience as an intern in the university's athletic department.

Mattie is passionate about supporting the student-athlete experience and contributing to the continued growth and success of Colorado Athletics and the Buff Club. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring Colorado, spending time with family and friends, and playing sports.
